Hello Class of 73 Classmates!! - July 2013
Our 40th year reunion is less than a week away! We hope you are excited as we, the committee, are to having this event become a reality! Here is a timeline for the weekend's Holiday events. Make sure you are where the Class of 73 will be!!
Wednesday, July 3rd - All Classes 3rd Annual Reunion at Mallwitz Bowling Alley. There will be music, cash bar and food to purchase. Stop by and see some old faces!
Thursday, July 4th - Road Race and Independence Day Parade, GI Blvd. with the VFW Post hosting a huge party immediately following the parade. EVERYONE will be there!
Friday, July 5th - Class of 73 Icebreaker at River Oaks Golf Club, East River and Whitehaven Rds., 7:00pm - 11:00pm Cash bar. EVERYONE is invited (all classes) to the icebreaker.
Saturday, July 6th - Class of 73 Cocktail/Dinner Reception at the Buffalo Launch Club, East River and Bush Roads, 5:00pm - 11:00pm. Reservations were needed! Six hour open bar, hors d'oeuvres, food stations, music and much, much more!! Business casual attire only. (Dress shorts acceptable).
Sunday, July 7th - Recuperate froM the weekends events! Remember, we are not 18 any more!!
Looking forward to a fantastic weekend of renewing old friendships - 40 years later!!
Also, anyone still looking to rent a room at the Holiday Inn - there are rooms available at a rate of $109/per night. Just mention you are with the "Grand Island Class of '73, Booking ID #1426083." These rooms are only available until Monday, July 1, 2013.



Class of 1973 Reunion Information - May 2013
Dear Classmates;
Thankfully, as our weather becomes more attuned to summer, time continues to move with it and thus we draw closer to our 40th reunion event in July. As we have previously addressed in past communications, the number of classmate responses to attend our cocktail and dinner event has been very favorable. To this extent, we are obligated to start providing a firm count of attendees to satisfy our vender and event requirements. In addition, our reunion book numbers must be to the publisher no later than June 1st. Therefore, the committee will simply not be able to accept further reservations for the cocktail and dinner event at the Buffalo Launch Club after this date (June 1st). We therefore encourage your prompt response if you are planning to attend this event and have yet to remit a check to cover you and/or your guests attendance. Payment for this event cannot be accepted after a final check for the Buffalo Launch Club has been drafted by the Committee.
As previously stipulated, the “Ice Breaker” has no reservation requirement nor cover charge to attend. If you are aware of any fellow classmates who are not receiving of our messages through the various social networks, we encourage you to kindly inform them of this message and of our time constraints.

Class of 1973 Reunion Information - February 2013
The committee for the Class of '73 has finalized plans for the upcoming 40th year reunion. There will be an Icebreaker at the River Oaks Golf Club on Friday, July 5th from approximately 7:00pm to 11:00pm. There will be a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres. This event is open to the public. We extend the invitation to everyone interested in renewing some old friendships.
On Saturday, July 6th, the Class of '73 will hold a cocktail & dinner reception at the Buffalo Launch Club for classmates and their spouses or escorts only. This event will include 6 hours of premium bar, soft drinks, crudites, salad and carving stations, assorted pastas, sauces and a dessert station with complimentary coffee and tea. Cost is $80 per person or $150 per couple, payable in full by March 31st (non-refundable after March 31st). Make your checks out to: GIHS Class of 1973, and mail them to John Mondoux, 130 Pin Oak Circle, Grand Island, NY 14072. Please get your reservations in ASAP. For our out of town classmates, there is a limited block of discounted rooms available at the Holiday Inn. Mention you are with the 40th year reunion Class of 73.
We are still looking for some missing classmates. We have some with unconfirmed addresses and some with no information at all.
