Cancer Survivors Celebrate Life and Honor Those Touched by the Disease at the American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life”
 

 

Amherst, New York—April 11, 2005– The American Cancer Society invites individuals to honor cancer survivors and caregivers or pay tribute to those who have lost their battles with cancer to join a Relay For Life in your community.

Relay For Life is an overnight community celebration where individuals and teams camp out, barbecue, and walk or run around a local track “relay” style to fight cancer. Funds raised support cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services in the community.

All cancer survivors are invited to celebrate their triumph over cancer by participating in an inspirational “survivors’ lap” to open the Relay For Life.

Relay For Life will take place in the following communities:

April 22 – 23                SUNY at Buffalo
