ISLAND HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2002 - COMMENCEMENT

Grand Island High School will hold its Thirty-seventh Annual Commencement Exercises at the Niagara Falls Convention Center on Sunday, June 30, 2002 at 2 o'clock P.M.
Sally Head, Class President, will welcome the
graduates, their families and friends.The program will begin with the Pledge of
Allegiance lead by Stephanie Goris, Vice-President of the Senior Class.
Class speakers are Anna Quider, Sally, Scott
McMichael. Tristan Wilkinson will
introduce the musical selections. Military
recognition will be made by Dr. James R. Dempsey, Principal of the High School.
The Grand Island High School Scholarship Program recipients will be
announced by Mr. William Miller, Assistant Principal in the High School and Dr.
Paul Fields, School Superintendent
Mr. Mark
Lamparelli and
Mr. Brian
Winger, the
2002 Class
Advisors, will
assist with
the program.
Dr. James R. Dempsey, Principal of the High School,
will conduct the roll call of graduates. Dr.
Richard McCowan, President of the Board of Education and Dr. Paul Fields will
confer the Grand Island High School diploma upon each of the 205 graduates.
Congratulatory remarks will be given by Dr. Paul D. Fields,
Superintendent of the Grand Island Central School District.
Musical interludes will be performed by the Choir,
under the leadership of Mrs. Carolyn Lokken and the High School Wind Ensemble,
conducted by Mr. Martin T. Allen.
