Left active duty, served in the NY Army National Guard, 1st Battalion, 127th Armor Regiment and Commanded Company "C," 391st Regiment, 7th brigade, 98th Division in the US Army Reserve

Transferred to 8th Brigade, 98th Division (SROC) to serve as Assistant Professor of Military Science, instructing ROTC Cadets at Canisius College

Deployed to Iraq as part of the Coalition Military Advising, Training and Transition Team where he commanded a Battalion Advisory team, serving as combat advisor to Infantry Battalions of the Iraqi Defense Forces
