NORTH TONAWANDA — Mildred D. Christman (nee Webb), age 89, of North Tonawanda, passed away June 21, 2010 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. Mrs. Christman was born July 9, 1920, in Grand Island, daughter of the late George and Delia Webb.

Mrs. Christman was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in North Tonawanda, member of the Debra Circle and the Friendship Group. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed working on crafts.

Mrs. Christman was predeceased by her husband, Glenn, who passed away in 1991; also predeceased by six siblings.

Mother of Glenn (Nancy) Christman of Pendleton, Wayne (Michele) Christman of North Tonawanda and Lynn (Norman) Alexander of North Tonawanda; grandmother of Meredith (Sean Slagle) Christman, Shawn (Rachel Zmuda) Christman, Sarah (Nathan) Roberts and Katherine Delia Alexander. Sister of    Gerald (Beverly) Webb of North Tonawanda; sister- in-law of June Renwick of Kenmore. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Friends may call TUESDAY 7-9 PM and WEDNESDAY 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home, 307 Oliver Street. Funeral services THURSDAY at 11:00 AM from First United Methodist Church, 65 Main Street, North Tonawanda. The Rev. Dr. Greg Crispell will officiate. Interment will be in Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda. In lieu of flowers, memorials to First United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer  Association.
