Emma L. Pici, 83, taught at School 18 for 27 years

A Mass of Christian Burial for Emma L. Pici, a former Buffalo teacher, will be offered at 9 a. m. Saturday in St. Amelia Catholic Church, 2999 Eggert Road, Town of Tonawanda.

Mrs. Pici died Sunday in her Grand Island home under the care of Hospice. She was 83.

Born Emma L. LoVerme in Buffalo, she graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy. She taught at School 18 for 27 years.

She was a member of the Buffalo Teachers Federation and Retired Teachers of both Buffalo and Western New York. She also was a member of the Ladies of Charity and a lifetime member of St. Amelia parish.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James A.; a daughter, Frances; a son, Paul; and a sister, Rita Kogler.
