Contour Financial Planning invites public to “Coffee Talks”

Grand Island, New York:  Contour Financial Planning opens it’s doors at 1879 Whitehaven Road on Grand Island for three open houses the week of October 4th to promote financial literacy during Financial Planning Week.  The Financial Planning Association – the nation’s largest professional organization for Certified Financial PlannerTM  practitioners and other allied professionals who are dedicated to championing the financial planning process has announced October 4 – October 10, 2004 as National Financial Planning Week .

Contour’s “Coffee Talks” will be held Monday, Oct 4th from 5:30 – 7:30 PM, Tuesday, Oct. 5th from 9:00 – 11:00 AM and Wednesday, Oct. 6th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.  The public is invited to “drop in, grab a comfy seat and enjoy a little something to eat and drink while they chat.”  Open conversations will touch on how financial planning is an integral part of debt management, budgeting, building and preserving wealth, and other topics.

The goal of Financial Planning Week is to promote and improve financial literacy.  Understanding the flow of finances enables an individual to assess their spending and saving habits, use credit responsibly, invest to help meet their expectations of a comfortable life, and sort through the complexity and confusion that some financial decisions can present.

During this week-long event, businesses, financial and educational institutions, museums, community-based organizations and others will be sponsoring or participating in programs designed to promote financial awareness among their staff, their customers, and/or the general public.
