Practicing its two-minute drill paid dividends for Grand Island on Saturday in a 28-21 victory over Starpoint in a Class A North football.

The Vikings got the ball back following a crucial defensive stop with 2 minutes remaining. Starting at their own 35-yard line, QB Tom Dzielski completed four straight passes to Pat Gallagher, the last one for a 21-yard TD. Dzielski was 16 of 26 for 275 yards and four TDs. Gallagher finished with six catches for 108 yards. Nick Keller had two TD catches among his five receptions.

GI moved the ball consistently throughout the game. Starpoint's Tyler Robinson scored on runs of 73 and 79 yards to force a 14-14 tie at halftime. He scored on a 40-yard run in the third quarter to give his team a 21-14 lead. GI scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.
