HS ROUNDUP (Feb. 15): Russell’s pair lifts GI icers to win

Anthony Russell scored a pair of goals, including the winner, as the Grand Island club hockey team advanced to Super Sunday with a 4-3 playoff victory over Lancaster on Sunday.

Ryan Vertino had the game-tying goal and an assist on Russell’s winning goal. Courtney Cox had the other goal for Grand Island while Zach Scheuing added a pair of assists.

Greg Kabel had a pair of goals and Matt Cox scored for Lancaster.
