Indoor Track Team Championships at Fredonia - February 14 - at Fredonia

Brian Archie of Niagara Falls and Will Cole of Hamburg were triple winners and Evan Tsemblis of Grand Island was a double winner at the Indoor Track Team Championships at Fredonia. Archie won the 55-meter dash, the long jump and the triple jump. Cole took first place in the 55 hurdles, 300 and 600. Tsemblis ran 4:27.5 in the 1,600 to edge Zach Slawi of Dunkirk (4:27.7). He also won the 1,000.
On the girls side, Williamsville South placed in the top six in nine events to win the team championship. Freshman Kailyn Arcury went 8.15 in the hurdles, for the third best time in the state. Double winners were Kayla Allen of Williamsville East (600, 300), Jamie Raepple of Grand Island (55, triple) and Katie Niblock of Sweet Home (1,000, 1,500). Melissa Kurzdorfer of Lancaster went 47-11.75 to break her own state record in the shot put.
