Grand Island 52 - Lew-Port 23
Buffalo News
Kallie Banker became the Grand Island girls basketball program's all-time leading scorer in a 52-23 win against Lew-Port on Thursday. Banker's 3-pointer in the first half broke Ashleigh Frieday's 1209 points she set in 2005. "She didn't even know what was happening when we stopped the game. We don't talk about it too much," Banker's mother and coach Jenepher Banker said. "She's worked real hard and done a good job this year so it's very nice for her to get that milestone. Banker finished with 17 in the game, setting the mark at 1,215 while adding six assists. Danielle Wegrzyn and Brooke DeMarco each had 11 points and seven rebounds in the win.
