Grand Island
The boys soccer team earned the highest seed of any local team, taking the No. 2 spot in Class A-1. It will host the winner of Tuesday's 10-McKinley/7-Hamburg matchup in the quarterfinals at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Niagara Gazette October 23, 2012
The Girls Soccer team came close to matching their male counterparts, grabbing the No. 3 seed in Class A. Unfortunately, though, they fall into the only class in the section that has the right number of teams to fill out a bracket without byes. They'll host No. 14 Cheektowaga at 3:30 p.m Wednesday in the pre-quarterfinals.

Niagara Gazette October 23, 2012
The NFL Girls Swimming Championship meet will be held over three days starting at 5 p.m. today (Oct. 23) at Niagara Falls High School.
Today features the preliminary races for each in-pool event. Each team is allowed four participants per race, which means each event will have around 30 athletes at the start. The top 12 finishers in the preliminary races advance to the final round on Thursday.
All diving competition will take place at 5 p.m. Wednesday and the racing finals will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Final team scoring is counted toward the regular-season NFL standings. Whichever team finishes first of the eight teams would add 7-0 to its record, second adds 6-1 and so on.
