Cheektowaga 26, Grand Island 18: Jaleel Harris’ 48-yard scoring run with three minutes left gave the Warriors (9-0) the cushion they needed. Grand Island (5-4) advanced to the Cheektowaga 20 but turned it over on downs with about 50 seconds to play.

Nick McLean carried five times for 105 yards and two TDs for Cheektowaga, the third-ranked large school. Joe Oliverio scored twice for the 10thranked Vikings.

After Oliverio’s second score, with 5:01 to play, Grand Island went for a potential tying two-point conversion but a pass was broken up by Dante Parker. Clay Reeb had five tackles and three pass breakups on Grand Island’s final drive. He also stripped the ball on a Grand Island kick return after McLean’s 55-yard scoring run in the third quarter.
