The Ride For Roswell

Dear Family and Friends,

At the end of June, we will be participating in the Ride for Roswell in honor of a dear friend and loved one of our community, Ernest Oliverio, to support cutting-edge cancer research and lifesaving treatments at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Ernie has been courageously battling an aggressive form of cancer for almost 2 years.  He is a loving husband, father, and friend to many, and he and his family have made an indelible mark on our community in so many ways.  His wife Nicki has committed herself to caring for others through her nursing profession at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, as well as spiritually educating our youth through her service for many, many years as a religious education teacher at St. Stephen’s Parish on Grand Island.

In addition to the Ride, we will be hosting a fundraiser on March 28th, 2009 at the Sandy Beach Yacht Club.  This event will include a Chinese Auction/Basket Raffle, Silent Auction, and 50/50 Cash Raffle with 100% of the money raised going directly to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.  We are seeking your help with donations of merchandise, gift certificates, or services for the auctions and raffles.

Your participation in our fundraiser provides a unique opportunity for everyone who has a family member, friend, or colleague who has faced cancer – the chance to do something to directly help in their fight against it. In that spirit, we’ve chosen to Ride under the team name “Ollie’s Warriors”, and ask that you support us.

In addition to your generous donations, you may make a financial pledge and donate online by credit card by going to www.RideforRoswell.org and clicking on the “Donate” link. Type in one of our names in the search area, click on that name and you’ll be directed to that rider’s personal page where you can make your pledge.

Please call one of Ollie’s Warriors to arrange pick up or drop off of your generous basket-raffle or other donation.  Thank you, in advance, for your support!

Together, we’ll make a difference in so many lives!

Sincerely,

Ollie's Warriors
