MISSION
Our purpose is to provide children three to five years of age with a warm and nurturing
learning environment. The goal is to stimulate thirst for knowledge and provide the skills
necessary for kindergarten readiness.
HELP:   Goodwill donations are greatly appreciated as we are a not-for-profit organization.

STRENGTHS:   As a chartered co-operative preschool, we are run 100% by parents. In addition, we have 2 excellent, caring teachers on staff who possess a wide range of experience and talent. What better motivation to achieve the best possible preschool education and experience for our children!

Jack and Jill Community Preschool News - March 2005

On Monday, March 14, 2005, 4-year-olds
from Jack & Jill were treated to a bus ride
and tour of Sidway Elementary School in preparation for kindergarten.

On the Sidway tour, the children take a look
at the gym, meet the gym teacher, and get an idea
of what kind of fun they will have in kindergarten.

Jack & Jill Community Preschool Accepting Applications - 2004-2005
   Jack and Jill Community Preschool is currently accepting applications for the 3-year-old Class for the 2004-2005 school year. Applications may be obtained at the school or by visiting the school’s web site at jackandjillpreschool.tripod.com.
   The purpose of "Jack & Jill" is to provide children three to five years of age with a warm and nurturing learning environment. The goal is to stimulate thirst for knowledge and provide the skills necessary for kindergarten readiness. Jack & Jill Community Preschool is a New York State chartered co-operative preschool, and operates with a unique co-teaching classroom. The school is located at 2587 Baseline Road, Grand Island, NY. Jack & Jill Community Preschool Has Few Openings - 2003-2004
Jack and Jill Community Preschool, Grand Island, has only a few openings left for the 3-Year-Old Preschool Class! This class meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. September 2003 . . . Jack and Jill Community Preschool's 3-year-old class is shown on their very first day of school. Children colored their own individual piece of an apple puzzle. Shown is the class assembling their giant puzzle to demonstrate how together they are one. There are still a few spots remaining in the 3-year-old class. May 8, 2003 . . .The children of Jack & Jill Community Preschool this week enjoyed a tour of our local Grand Island Pizza Hut. While there, they had the opportunity to make their very own personal pan pizzas! Here they are shown enjoying their creations!

The four-year-old class at Jack & Jill Community Preschool recently held their annual Easter Party. Amid the fun and treats, a surprise guest hopped by: The Easter Bunny! All the children assured The Bunny that they have been very good this Spring, ensuring their candy windfall come Easter Sunday!

The three-year-old class at Jack & Jill Community Preschool recently had “Pajama Day” at school. Rounding out the festivities were “bedtime stories” and a special “bedtime” snack that the children contributed to making. Here they are each telling “Share Bear” about their most favorite part of the day.

Jack & Jill Community Preschool Begins Registration - 2003-2004
Jack & Jill Community Preschool will hold its Open House from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, February 6, 2003, for three-year-olds and Friday, February 7, from 9 a.m. to noon for four-year-olds. Applications for the 2003-2004 school year will be available. Registration for alumni is being held from February 16th through February 23rd. Santa Visits Jack and Jill Preschool - 2002

Members of the 3-year-old class at Jack & Jill Community Preschool were visited by a surprise guest at their annual holiday party. Santa dropped by to speak with each student and read to them from his ‘special book,’ letting each child know how proud he was of them all. The students thanked Santa with rousing renditions of some of his more favorite carols!

Jack and Jill Community Preschool held its annual "Dad's Day" on Saturday, November 2, 2002. The children, accompanied to school by their dads, made a Christmas craft for their moms, gift bags to wrap it in and a card to add the final touch. The Dads and their children also worked together to frost and decorate their own sugar cookies to top off the day!"
