Grand Island Little League Opening Day - May 2012

Grand Island Little League's opening day ceremonies are being held Saturday, May 12 in Vets Park, Bedell Road with the parade starting at 9 a.m.
The following is the Little League Opening Day Schedule.

8 45 am
 Players meet at North end of Park by Diamond 9
   
9 00 am
 Parade begins…..parents encouraged to line and meet players @ snack stand
  
  
9 25 am
 Players gather in outfield at Diamond # 4 facing home plate for ceremony
   
9 30 am
 Color Guard enters field
 
 
9 35 am
 Reading of Little League Pledge
 
 
9 40 am
 Spanbaurer sings National Anthem
  
  
9 45 am
 President welcomes crowd and recognizes Town Officials and 
 Todd Callen will Emcee rest of ceremony
  
  
9 50 am
 Presentation of Scholarship awards Male/Female winner
  
 
10 00 am
 GILL recognizes former Board members for service and dedication to league
   
10 05 am
 League presents sportsmanship awards to PeeWee/International/Minors/Int'l 
 SB/Minors SB and MVP awards for Majors BB/SB
   
10 10 am
 Presentation of Potter award to Majors SB and Haller award to 
 Majors Baseball + Bunny Luther award to contribution to GILL
   
10 15 am
 Recognition of District 1 / 12U Champions and raise flag

 Dedication of Diamond 1 to John McGowan
