Grand Island 48, Williamsville East 0: Junior Mike Blocho scored three times and finished with 120 yards as the Vikings scored 28 points in the second quarter to cruise. LB Pat McCarthy recovered two fumbles and had 11 tackles. Jeremy Roberts had two interceptions, returning one for a TD.

Class A bracket has Grand Island playing one of the toughest road games in Section VI: a Friday night at Pioneer, which is seeking its fourth straight Class B title. The Vikings won at Pioneer in Week Four in a 14-13 game that had all the scoring in the first half.

Class A quarterfinals: Jessica Remmes scored a hat trick and Corinne Razem made 10 saves for her 14th shutout as No. 1 large school Grand Island routed Niagara Frontier League rival Kenmore East, 6-0. Jamie Dougherty added two goals while Lindsay Fetzer had one for the Vikings (16-1-1).
