The Vikings gave the Ken-East Bulldogs a really run for their money on the Vikings home field Saturday, September 25, 2004. Leading the scoring was Glenn Bird with five touchdowns. Bird had a 241-yard rushing day. According to the Buffalo News, "Bird needed just 11 carries to amass the yardage, which included touchdown runs of 14, 44, 5 and 90 yards. Bird began the game's scoring with a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter." Grand Island's Matt Guidotti made eight tackles and an interception for his team.
