A regular meeting of the Town Board of Grand Island, New York was held at the Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Rd., Grand Island, NY at 8:00p.m. on the 4th of August, 2008.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Cooke, seconded by Councilwoman Argy to set

A Public Hearing for Monday, August 18, 2008 at 8:00p.m. for the purpose of hearing anyone who wants to comment in favor or in opposition to the closing of Park Place between #106 and #132 on August 23, 2008 for the purposes of a block party.

Human Resources Policy & Procedure – Cell Phone Use in Town Vehicles

A motion was made by Councilman Roesch, seconded by Councilwoman Argy to adopt the  following Human Resource Policy regarding cell phone use in Town vehicles and to distribute the policy to each Town employee.

       The use of cell phones while driving is not permitted by law unless you are using hands-free equipment. 

       Adherence to New York State law is required by all Town employees driving a Town vehicle.
