A regular meeting of the Town Board of Grand Island, New York was held at the Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Rd., Grand Island, NY at 8:00p.m. on the 1st of February, 2010.

Reverend Sam Venne of St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church gave the Invocation.

Authorize Supervisor to Sign Contracts – Water/Wastewater Service – Beaver Island State Park

A motion was made by Councilman Billica, seconded by Councilwoman Cooke to authorize the Supervisor to sign a contract with the Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation for water service to Beaver Island State Park at a cost of $3.74/per 1,000 gallons and the contract for wastewater service to Beaver Island State Park at a cost of $8.63/per 1,000 gallons.

Town Engineer John Whitney reported that on January 27, 2010, the following bids were received for the Waterline Improvement Project at the Water Treatment Plant:

After careful review of the bids Wendel Duchscherer, Town consultant and the Town Engineer recommends award to the low bidder Milherst Construction, in the amount of $404,700.00.

A motion was made by Councilman Roesch, seconded by Councilwoman Cooke to accept the recommendation of the Town Engineer and Town consultant and award the bid for the Waterline Improvement Project at the Water Treatment Plant – Project No. M-195 to Milherst Construction in the amount of $404,700.00.

Authorize Supervisor to Sign Professional Services Agreement – Fisherman’s Landing M-191

A motion was made by Councilman Crawford, seconded by Councilman Billica to accept the recommendation of the Town Engineer and authorize the Supervisor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with Scheid Architectural for work on Fisherman’s Landing M-191 subject to approval of Department of State and Town Attorney.
