A regular meeting of the Town Board of Grand Island, New York was held at the Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Rd., Grand Island, NY at 8:00p.m. on the 3rd of August, 2009.

Supervisor Peter A. McMahon called the meeting to order at 8:00p.m.

Reverend Eric Pastorek from Bible Presbyterian Church gave the Invocation.

Councilman Richard W. Crawford led the Pledge of Allegiance.

A motion was made by Councilman Roesch, seconded by Councilwoman Cooke to set a Public Hearing for Monday, August 17, 2009 at 8:00p.m. for the purpose of hearing anyone who wants to comment in favor or in opposition to Local Law Intro #6 of 2009 – KeyCorp for a proposed Key Bank,  amending Section 49-67 (D) of the Zoning Code.

Award Bid – Job No. M-14-2009, Bituminous Resurfacing of Various Town Roads

Town Engineer John Whitney reported that the bids were opened on July 29, 2009 for the bituminous resurfacing of various Town roads – Job No. M-14-2009.  Five bids were received from the following:

After careful review of the bids, Mr. Whitney recommended the low bidder, Robinson Paving, Inc. be awarded the bid in the amount of $455,408.00.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Cooke, seconded by Councilman Crawford to accept Mr. Whitney’s request for Robinson Paving, Inc. be awarded the bid in the amount of $455,408.00 for bituminous resurfacing of various Town roads – Job No. M-14-2009.
