BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Did you know a simple swab of your mouth could help save someone's life?

Roswell Park Cancer Institute is trying to get the word out.

It hosted a blood and marrow drive Thursday night, hoping to find more donors for those in desperate need of a transplant.

Dan McBride already has a donor lined up.

He will undergo a second marrow transplant once he beats his second bout of lymphoma.

McBride said, "I was shocked that it came back and this is what's going to save my life is another bone marrow transplant. And so I thank everyone that's come to be on the register because it's not just me that needs a transplant, there's plenty more people out there that need transplants so, I can't thank them enough."
