Free Transition Workshops for Parents of Students with Disabilities

Buffalo, NY March 3, 2008 – FREE workshops for families of young adults with disabilities will be held at Tonawanda and Grand Island High Schools.   These workshops, sponsored in part by Parent Network of WNY, will focus on getting students ready to make the move out of school and into adulthood.

The workshops are part of a Model Transition Program grant and cover important topics that families should know as their young adult prepares to leave high school and enter college or the workforce.  Parents and students are encouraged to attend these informative sessions.  Admission for these sessions is free but pre-registration is requested.  To register, please call (716) 332-4170 or visit the Parent Network of WNY website at www.parentnetworkwny.org.
