Ten young people ranging in age from 17 to 20 were arrested early Sunday after Erie County sheriff’s deputies broke up an underage drinking party at a home at 4520 East River Road, Grand Island.
Deputies said the host of the party, Shawn D’Angelo, 19, of the East River Road address, was charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawfully dealing with a minor. He is accused of providing alcohol to underage drinkers.
The other nine were charged with a violation of state laws barring alcohol consumption by people under 21, Capt. Larry Cousins said. He said one of those arrested is from Niagara Falls, and the rest are from Grand Island.
