A 52-year-old Grand Island man died from an apparent heart attack while driving his vehicle on East River Road on Wednesday evening, Erie County sheriff's officials said.
Deputies responded to a 6:52 p.m. report of a vehicle off the road and in a field on East River, between Staley and Whitehaven roads. The driver, whose name wasn't released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
