A 29-year-old Grand Island snowboarder critically injured when he struck a tree at Holiday Valley Ski Resort over the weekend has died, authorities confirmed today.
Leon Carr died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday in Erie County Medical Center, hospital officials confirmed today.
Carr was injured at about 8 p.m. Sunday when he apparently lost control and struck the tree off Cindy's Run, an intermediate slope at the Ellicottville ski resort.
