A Grand Island man was arrested Tuesday on narcotics possession charges after Erie County sheriff’s detectives and SWAT members searched an Alt Boulevard residence, sheriff’s officials reported.
The defendant’s identity was being withheld pending completion of the investigation, sheriff’s detectives said. Deputies said they seized 44 marijuana plants in a growing operation at the home.
The investigation was launched in response to the alleged sale of marijuana in the Town of Grand Island. Several other related investigations are also under way, sheriff’s officials said.
