Erie County sheriff’s officials arrested a Grand Island man Tuesday in connection with a domestic assault.
George T. McCraith, 20, of Pleasant Trail, was taken to the Erie County Holding Center, where he was being held pending arraignment in Grand Island Town Court on charges second-and third-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree menacing, unlawful imprisonment, criminal mischief and harassment.
A woman accused McCraith of choking her, throwing her around the house and then throwing her in a car, sheriff’s officials said. After McCraith dropped her off at an Amherst car dealership, she went to a friend’s house and called authorities. She was treated for minor injuries in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst.
