Island supervisor appointed to Greenway Commission

 

Grand Island Supervisor Peter A. Mc- Mahon has been appointed to a four-year term on the Niagara River Greenway Commission by Gov. David A. Paterson.

McMahon, 69, is a former chief of the Grand Island Volunteer Fire Department and was elected supervisor in 1997. The Greenway Commission was formed to develop a plan for a system of parks, trails and green spaces along the Niagara River from Buffalo to Youngstown.
