Body recovered may be missing WNYer

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) - A body has been recovered off the Florida coast, where a Grand Island native went missing Thursday trying to save a drowning friend.

31-year-old Paul Taefi is presumed dead , after he jumped into the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday to save a friend who had fallen overboard.

Investigators said neither man was wearing life vests and alcohol was a factor.

Police have not identified the body that was found on Saturday.
