Snowmobiler charged twice on Grand Island

A Grand Island man was charged twice Friday with snowmobiling illegally.

Robert Barnes, 45, of Love Road, was stopped at West River and Love roads on Grand Island at about 4:30 p.m. and ticketed for not wearing a helmet and having an unregistered and uninsured snowmobile, State Parks Police said.

At 8:50 p.m., Barnes was charged with snowmobiling while intoxicated after being stopped at Love Road and South State Parkway, police said.
