Jim Wright received his B.M. in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia where he studied with Daniel Ihasz.  A native of Grand Island, NY, Jim has been in opera chorusí such as the Hillman Opera Productions of  Bernsteinís Candide and Bizetís Carmen,  The Chautauqua Symphony Orchestraís production of Verdiís Otello, and the Western New York Chamber Orchestraís production of  P.D.Q. Bachís Abduction of Figaro with special guest Peter Schickele.  Jim was a member of the Fredonia College Choir for 4 years under the direction of Gerald Gray, and has performed such choral works as Hšndelís Messiah, Brahmís Liebeslieder Waltzes, and Mozartís Regina Coeli.  Other choral performances include Mozartís Requiem, Brahmís Requiem, and Bachís Mass in b-minor.  Jim has recently been a guest conductor and featured soloist for the Grand Island Community Chorus.   He has also been featured as a soloist for the Freudig Singers of Buffalo and St. Josephís University Cathedral.  In January of 2009, Jim presented choral acoustics research at the 4th International Physiology and Acoustics of Singing conference in San Antonio, TX.
