Announces 35th Reunion Plans - September 2009
   Members of the Grand Island Class of 1975 will hold their third planning meeting for a 35-year, 2010 class reunion at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Charles N. DeGlopper VFW Post, 2121 Grand Island Boulevard, across from Tops Supermarket. Any classmates interested in volunteering their time to help in the planning of the event, are welcome to join the meeting. If you have any class pictures or any item we can use for display at our 35th Reunion, please bring them to the meeting.

The Grand Island Class of 1975 announces their 35th Class Reunion Event on:
Friday, July 2, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., at the Buffalo Launch Club, 503 East River Road, Grand Island, New York 14072--716-773-7629. Casual dress. Weather permitting, we will have an outside grill. We also have a room for sit-down dining, inside the Club, overlooking the river. A Cash Bar will be available, and there will be plenty of room, also, inside the Club for socializing in case of rain. The Buffalo Launch Club will provide us with a special menu with special pricing, including Buffalo Chicken Wings and Chicken Fingers, Fish Fry, and Roast Beef on Kimmelweck, as well as full dinners, plus an outside grill for Hamburgers and Hot dogs. If you are interested in enjoying a sit-down dinner in the banquet room overlooking the river that will be reserved for the Class of 1975, you must call the Buffalo Launch Club and give them your reservation no later than Friday, June 25th, 2010, in order for the Buffalo Launch Club to be able to accommodate us. Sit-down dinner reservations must be made for between the hours of 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. IT IS IMPORTANT TO LET THE BUFFALO LAUNCH CLUB KNOW THAT YOUR RESERVATION IS WITH THE CLASS OF 1975, so that your reservation will be in the room where the reunion will be held. Any food or drink is on a cash "pay as you go" basis, and there is no admission fee for this event. Credit cards will be accepted for those enjoying a sit-down dinner.

Just a reminder that the July 4th Parade will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2010, instead of Sunday, July 4, 2010. Many classmates will be found at the VFW Post immediately following the Parade on Saturday.

Any classmates interested in organizing a golf outing Friday, Saturday or Sunday, July 2, 3, or 4th, please call 716-675-0407 and leave a message on the answering machine and your call will be returned.

Be prepared for a night of fun with 1975 music and split-club hopes!

If you are interested in attending Friday evening, July 2, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., at the Buffalo Launch Club , please take the time to call 716-675-0407 and leave a message on the answering machine, which will greatly help us in getting at least an approximate headcount, enabling the Buffalo Launch Club to prepare to have proper staffing for our event.

   Members of the Grand Island Class of 1975 will be celebrating their 30th reunion this weekend starting with a get-together at the Holiday Inn "under the tent" on Friday, evening, July 1st starting at 6 p.m. All classmates and friends of the Class of 1975 are invited to stop by.     Plans are underway for our 30-year class reunion being held here on Grand Island this summer....the reunion committee is in the process of compiling addresses and mailing out notices...plans are as follows...
• FRI. JULY 1, 2005....Holiday Inn Grand Island...Blues On The River - Informal gathering under the tent...cash bar...food available...6 p.m. till?
• SAT. JULY 2,2005 ...no plans ..visit with family...relax
• SUN. JULY 3,2005...Dinner Dance at River Oaks...cash bar...food stations... $35 per person...6 p.m. (includes dinner and entertainment)
• MON. JULY 4,2005 ...4th of July parade - Grand Island Blvd. 9:30 a.m. followed by get together at VFW after the parade

Class of 1975 To Hold 30th Reunion in 2005
The class of 1975 will have a 30-year class reunion next year, July 4th 2005 holiday weekend. We are still in the planning stages but here is what has been decided so far...

• Friday, July 1 - Icebreaker at the Holiday Inn Grand Island. The Holiday Inn holds weekly Friday evening concerts - "Blues on the River." A live Blues group plays outside under a tent (free admission). A cash bar and grilled sandwiches are available. No prior commitment is needed for this so.... make it if you are able!

• Saturday, July 2 - No events planned as of yet...relax? visit with family?

• Sunday, July 3 - Informal party in the evening at River Oaks - possibly outside if weather cooperates. Food stations, cash bar, etc. Plans are still in the making

• Monday, July 4 - 4th of July parade, party continues afterwards at the VFW ...
