St. Stephen's Youth Group Collects Shoes For Needy
St. Stephen's High School Youth Group has scheduled a drive for shoes of all kinds to be donated to the people of Nicaragua. The group's goal is 10,000 pairs by the end of March.
The Youth Group extends the invitation of 'walking a mile in His shoes,' and would like to add 'let them walk a mile in yours!" Suggested footwear to be donated includes shoes, sneakers, flip flops, and sandals (in good condition) in all sizes.
Donations of sneakers and shoes should be tied together with laces before dropping them in the boxes provided in the church narthex. The boxes will be available through March 18. For donations being made after that date, call the church rectory or Jo Stiller, 773-9586.
St. Stephen's Youth Group is in need of paper boxes with lids to pack and ship the shoes in.
