Sidway School Reunion Meeting Nov. 13 - 2007
   The Charlotte Sidway School reunion committee (classes 1937-63) will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the Holiday Inn Lounge, East River Road, Grand Island, NY. For a reservation form, and more information about the July 5, 2008 reunion, see "www.isledegrande.com/sidway/sidway37-63-2008.htm." The committee is planning a slide show presentation of all classes and all eras. This can only be accomplished by classmates going through their photographs and either scanning them and emailing them to Judy at "jasch427@aol.com" or mailing copies to her at 3127 West River Road, Grand Island, NY 14072. Be sure to include information about the photos.

Sidway School Reunion Meeting Oct. 9 - 2007
   The next planning meeting for the Sidway School reunion (July 5, 2008) will be held Tuesday, October 9 at the Swain residence on Webb Road.
   Invitations have been sent out and some classmates may not have gotten theirs. The job of updating 1500+ addresses is monumental and, of course, there will be mistakes. You can help the committee greatly by emailing "gabbypeg1@aol.com" or "jasch427@aol.com" with your correct address if you did not receive your invitation to the Sidway School reunion being held from 1-6 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Holiday Inn on Grand Island.
   The Holiday Inn is providing foot stations of all kinds throughout the day. If you are hungry at 1 p.m. there will be food and if you are hungry again at 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. or even 5 p.m. there will be more food. Beverages are included in the ticket price of $50 - wine, beer and soft drinks.
   The committee is planning to present a video/DVD focusing on photos of all classes and all eras.    The Charlotte Sidway School reunion committee will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Terry Swain's home on Webb Road. New faces show up at each meeting and the committee hopes to have a good turnout for the finishing up of the invitation mailing that evening. To submit address corrections, or for further information, email reunion chairman Judy Lexo Schmidt at "jasch427@aol.com".

Sidway School Reunion Invitations To Be Mailed Next Month - 2007

   The Charlotte Sidway School reunion committee met on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 when over 1500 envelopes were stuffed and readied for mailing. The Sidway grade school reunion that includes those who were a part of 27 classes of 8th or 9th grade graduates (1937-1963) cannot be compared with other school reunions in size and cost of running a nice event. Once the invitations to the July 5, 2008 event are mailed, the committee will look forward to hearing from classmates across the country and across the world.

June 6, 2007 . . .The Charlotte Sidway School reunion committee met Tuesday evening, June 5, 2007 and began the task of readying the reunion invitations for mailing. May 10, 2007 . . .The Charlotte Sidway School reunion committee met Tuesday evening, May 8, resolving details for the July 5, 2008 reunion information flyer. See "Sidway Reunion Reservation Flyer." The flyer will print in two pages.
A dozen members of the Sidway School 8th and 9th grade graduating classes, 1937-1963 attended the meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. June 5 at 1890 Webb Road.    The Sidway School Reunion Committee has made the decision to hold the 2008 reunion at the Holiday Inn Grand Island on Saturday, July 5, 2008. The cost per person will be $50. Invitations with all pertinent information will be mailed in the spring of 2007. The next planning meeting, open to anyone who attended Sidway School with the graduating classes of 1937 through 1963, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Terry Swain's residence, 1890 Webb Road.
   The committee would sincerely appreciate donations of start-up funds to be applied to the ticket fee. Checks made out to the Sidway School Reunion Committee may be mailed to Sidway School Reunion, P. O. 24, Grand Island, NY 14072.

   October 5, 2006 . . .A unanimous decision was made to begin planning a Sidway School reunion and a tentative date was set for Saturday, July 5, 2008 when a group of about 20 met in the Grand Island Memorial Library Monday evening, October 2, 2006. The reunion is being geered to the graduating classes of 1937 through 1963 and all who were at any time a part of these classes. The next planning meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 23, 2006 in the Community Room of the Grand Island Memorial Library, 1715 Bedell Road (east of Grand Island Blvd.)

September 28, 2006 . . .Calling all students who attended Charlotte Sidway School from the time it opened in February 1937 through the graduating class of 1963!
