Zoom Toddler Time with Mrs. Pamela - September 2020

Zoom Preschool Storytime with Mrs. Pamela - September 2020

Friends of Library Discard Book Sale - September 2020

    The Friends of the GI Memorial Library, 1715 Bedell Road, will have a Discard Book Sale on Monday, October 5th from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on the library front lawn. $5.00 per bag, bring your own bags. On Tuesday, October 6th from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., $2.00 per bag.




Grand Island Memorial Library Sidewalk Replacement - September 2020

    The sidewalk work at the Grand Island Memorial Library has been postponed to the week of October 5th due to the weather forecast. The section being replaced is directly next to the library parking lot.
· The library will be open during construction. · For safety reasons, the book drop will be closed during the construction and all due dates will be extended. · Returns can be brought in during normal business hours and left in the vestibule in the provided bin. Please keep in mind, all Buffalo & Erie County Public Library items can be returned to any library in Erie County.
·    For safety reasons, there will be no access to the parking lot side entrance. Please follow the signs and enter the building using the Bedell Rd. side entrance. · For convenience, please consider using the Veterans Park Drive parking lot directly across from the library during the construction. · Please call the library at 773-7124 for more information.

Grand Island Memorial Library Story Walk - August 2020


    Brought to you by the Grand Island Memorial Library, be sure to visit the story walk signs located along the walking path between the library and the concession stand in Veterans Park. Thanks to the awesome Parks Department, each story has a seating area and a garbage can close by, in case you want to make it a picnic! Be sure to practice safe social distancing while interacting with these stories.
    Bring a phone or a tablet with you and scan the QR codes to link to some fairy tales and nursery rhymes starring Leo the Llama! There are 5 Leo the Llama Tales available for you to enjoy currently. Leave a rating for all 5 stories to earn a prize from the library!

    The Grand Island Memorial Library will be closed to the public for the duration until further directives are received from the Governor of NY.
    We will not be accepting material donations (books, DVDs, etc.) for the duration.
    The book drop will be closed for the duration. Due dates have been extended to May 18, 2020 for materials borrowed on or after February 11, 2020.
    We apologize for the inconvenience. GI Memorial Library Closed - March 2020

    The Grand Island Memorial Library will be closed to the public beginning Tuesday, March 17th thru Monday, March 31st at 8pm as per recommendation from the County Executive. All programs and meeting room use at the library are suspended through March 28th. We will not be accepting material donations (books, DVDs, etc.) for the duration. In an effort to help contain the spread of the virus, the book drop will be closed thru March 30th. All currently checked out library items will be due on April 30th. John is a native Western New Yorker, a physical education teacher in the Niagara Wheatfield CSD and is also the Site and Exhibit Chairman for the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame and the archivist and curator for the AAA Buffalo Bisons.
